List of Dangerous Goods (Table 4.2)

The IATA DGR Table 4.2 contains the complete list of dangerous goods authorized for air transport. Each entry includes the UN/ID number, Proper Shipping Name, class/division, subsidiary hazard, packing group, special provisions, quantity limits for passenger and cargo aircraft, and applicable packing instructions.

Column Structure

  • A — UN/ID Number
  • B — Proper Shipping Name
  • C — Class/Division (Subsidiary Hazard)
  • D — Labels
  • E — State Variations
  • F — Special Provisions
  • G — UN Packing Group
  • H-L — PAX / CAO Limits & PI
  • M — ERG Code

Important Notes

  • "Forbidden" means the substance is not permitted on any aircraft
  • PAX limits apply to passenger and cargo aircraft
  • CAO limits apply to cargo aircraft only
  • Special provisions (SP) may modify default rules
  • Always check State and Operator Variations (2.8)
